Terms of Service

License

By purchasing a license to SociogramPlus, you are granted a non-exclusive, personal, and limited right to use the software in accordance with these Terms. The license is personal and may not be transferred, sublicensed, or shared with third parties without prior written permission.

Pricing & Payment

All prices are stated excluding VAT unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed via Stripe and may be made by card or invoice. When purchasing a subscription, payment is automatically renewed at the end of each billing period until the subscription is cancelled. By completing a purchase, you authorize automatic recurring charges according to the selected subscription plan.

Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account page. The license will remain active until the end of the current paid billing period. Upon cancellation, automatic renewal will cease and no further charges will be made. No refunds are provided for partially used subscription periods unless required by applicable law.

Right of Withdrawal

By purchasing a digital service and gaining immediate access to the software, you expressly acknowledge and agree that the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply in accordance with EU consumer protection law for digital content delivered immediately.

Limitation of Liability

SociogramPlus is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SociogramPlus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use the software. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, including cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for how the software is used and for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including data protection and educational regulations where relevant. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of all local data files. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from hardware failure, software failure, user error, or other external causes.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved by the competent courts of Sweden.

Privacy Policy (GDPR)

Personal Data Collected

We collect and process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The personal data processed may include: Name, Email address, Payment and billing information, License and account information, Limited usage data related to licensing and authentication.

Purpose of Processing

Personal data is processed for the following purposes: Providing access to the software and managing licenses, Processing payments and subscriptions, Communicating with users regarding service-related matters, Fulfilling legal and accounting obligations, Improving and maintaining the service. Personal data is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal Basis for Processing

Personal data is processed based on: Contractual necessity (to provide the purchased service), Legal obligations (such as accounting and payment records), Legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the service.

Storage and Security

Personal data is stored securely using trusted third-party services, including Firebase and Stripe. Data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy or until deletion is requested, unless longer retention is required by law. Appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Legal Storage Exception

We respect your right to request deletion of your personal data. However, please note that under Swedish accounting and tax legislation, we are required to retain certain information, such as invoices, payment information, name and address, for at least 7 years to fulfill our legal obligations. This information is stored only to the extent required by law and is not used for purposes other than those required by law. Upon a deletion request, we will delete other personal data that is not covered by these legal obligations.

Under GDPR, you have the right to: Request access to your personal data, Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data, Request deletion of your personal data, Object to or restrict processing, Request data portability, Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. You may exercise these rights via your account page or by contacting us.

Data Handling & Processing Model

Local-Only Processing

SociogramPlus performs all data analysis and processing locally on your computer. No user-generated analysis data is transmitted to our servers for processing.

No Cloud Storage of Analysis Data

We do not store analysis data, results, or datasets in the cloud. All such data remains exclusively on your local device. Only essential account, license, and billing information is stored remotely for authentication and payment purposes.

Customer Responsibility for Data

You are responsible for safeguarding and backing up your local data. We do not provide backup services for locally stored files and are not responsible for data loss due to user actions, device failure, or external factors.
